Headshots & Portraits faqS
Looks?
Wardrobe + lighting + background = a Look. Small tweaks like adding a jacket or glasses don’t count as new looks.
What If It Rains?
We shoot in-studio unless specifically requested otherwise during your consultation. So weather won’t affect your session. If you request location shots and rain occurs in such a way that it prohibits shooting, you’ll be offered a replacement session.
Can I Bring A Friend?
Of course! Especially consider doing so if you don’t plan on hiring a hair & makeup artist.
Hair & Makeup—Should You Hire My Artist?
Highly recommended — especially for women. Photography makeup is specialized, and the artist stays throughout the session for touch-ups, catching flyaways and making changes. She’ll handle all the details.
FAQs Re: Modeling Digitals: The Real You
Why Do Models Need Digitals?
Because modeling agencies and clients want to see *you*—no filters, no glam, no BS.
What to Wear for Modeling Digitals:
- White tee, blue jeans.
- Black on black.
- Swimsuit (femme) / shirtless (masc).
- Keep it sleek, simple, fitted.
Pro Tips for Modeling Digitals:
- Barely-there makeup, skincare is king.
- Bring a hair tie for those “clean slate” shots.
- No skin-picking for a week — pls trust me.
- Show up early, ready, and don’t overthink it.
The Goal for Modeling Digitals:
A blank canvas. Natural, effortless, and 100% you. Scars, flyaways, and freckles included.
What Next After Modeling Digitals?
Apply, work, repeat. Update when your look changes. Digitals open doors — you keep them open.
DIY Hair & Makeup?
Not recommended. Feel free, though. Results on camera may vary. Having someone on set to handle the details makes all the difference between getting good vs. getting great images of you. Outside MUAs are welcome, but must arrive with you fully camera-ready.
Straight vs. Curly Hair?
Want both? Sure thing, just please let us know in advance.
